I’m in a slight dilemma with my profession(bartending). A promotion is available at work, and I’m the next line to move on up the ladder. The promotion is an on call bartender. I’ll never know when I work or the hours I will work, if I even have any at all to work. I get a $3 raise and I make more tip money, but these fail in comparison to having a steady work week. When Twan(my boss) finally offers me the position, I going to try and barter into getting something of a better deal like keeping the shift I do have, but fill the open bartender shifts with me and have other people fill in my shift. It would be a pain in the ass for everyone and I’m sure others would not be happy if what I want goes through. But I don’t care. I’m at the top in therms of seniority anyway.
